This is a challenging time for all of us.

Our lives have been upended, practically overnight. Many of us are already facing enormous difficulties. And there's only uncertainty ahead.

But here's something extremely important you need to remember:

Whenever bad things happen, it presents great opportunities if we are looking for them

The worse the situation, the bigger the opportunities are

We’ve said it before: the greater the adversity, the greater the opportunity to learn, grow and create.

These opportunities can look different for everyone.

For some, it's a massive learning opportunity … a chance to look at things differently … learn something new … set new goals.

For many, it's a rare opportunity to slow down, breathe and recalibrate.

Whatever the opportunity looks like for you, now is the time to take advantage of it.

Flipping the bad on its head

History shows that good things often arise out of bad situations.

During the 1918 Spanish Flu, scientists began working feverishly on a vaccine. They weren't successful at the time, but their findings eventually led to massive breakthroughs in seasonal flu vaccines, which now protect millions of people every year.

On a more individual level, consider Allen Iverson, who persevered through a rough childhood to become an NBA great. Iverson's mother was only 15 years old when he was born. His father was serving a life sentence, and his step-father was later arrested too. With little food in the home, Iverson often slept at friends' houses and later spent his own time in jail.

Still, Iverson persevered. He went on to become an 11-time NBA All-Star, MVP and Hall of Famer.

Imagine if Iverson had lived a cush, comfortable life, without any challenges or adversity. Would he have pushed as hard as he did?

Keep the faith

As we move forward, keep this in mind: A life full of ease and comfort generates NOTHING.

The current situation may seem bleak, but that doesn't mean there aren't opportunities. We're going to get through it together.

Stay healthy, stay positive and keep growing!
